This club is a great atmosphere to learn. Javier’s teaching methods help you learn quickly. He will focus on a position, escapes, and counters from that position, then have you drill that move or position only so you get it. He’ll show all the little things that get you out of trouble. His drills focus on each move and counter individually so it becomes ingrained. Definitely a great place to train.
Professor Vasquez is very attention to detail oriented both in regards to Jiu-Jitsu and the students. I have been to many BJJ gyms searching for a home base to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and no other place I have found is more welcoming, warm, and ego free! Did I mention that the Jiu-Jitsu is world class. Students are encourage to help one another when ever possible along with courtesy, community, an comradrary we are to make sure everyone’s time is pleasant. Come learn the power of the force an if I can quote Professor Vasquez “Come an let me show you how easy it could be.” Call for your free class! Kids class is a blast I’ve seen it with my one eyes! What a great place to train. Javi is an amazing Professor who has patience for the beginners and knowledge for the advanced. This training is exactly like the old place but better…. Javi runs HIS gym the way he feels is best for himself and this students and trust you will not be disappointed in his style. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and it can be very painful at times but with Javis patience I am getting better every day.
Wow…I can’t believe that I’ve been training with Javi for over 3.5 years now. I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun!!! In all seriousness, I was originally referred here by a friend who has been practicing JiuJitsu for over 25+ years. He also happens to be a dentist like me and recommended Javi for his teaching skills as well as the environment he (Javi) sets in making sure students don’t get hurt. Javi’s style of teaching is detail oriented and conceptually driven. It’s not just a memorization of a thousand moves but an understanding of leverage and timing. Javi’s style of BJJ is simple and effective, which allows all types of people to participate regardless of age, physical condition, flexibility and size….because the reality is not everyone can do fancy moves requiring tons of explosive athleticism and extreme flexibility. Javi has recently moved to a new location with about double or triple the mat space. In addition, the students are an awesome group who are welcoming and simply wanting to learn JiuJitsu. There’s not one person with a huge ego nor is there any student who disregards the safety of their training partners. Awesome instructor…awesome facility…awesome students/training partners…what else is there when choosing a place to learn JiuJitsu? Javier is an incredible instructor and his students are welcoming and helpful. I’m a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu black belt with 15 years of training, but I still learn something new each and every time I’m on the mat with Javier (even in his basic classes). I have been training with Javi for about 4 years. He is methodical in his approach to his teaching methods and his curriculum is second to none. I can honestly say that he is the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor in the Inland Empire. Javi runs a clean gym and he promotes a great atmosphere for the whole family. With his new expansion, this will be the place to train Gracie Jiu Jitsu in the IE.

The customer service Nayra provides when explaining how classes work to billing to greeting everyone who walks in the door is spectacular. Javier’s jiu jitsu style is one of kind and his skills and level of understanding is masterful. He’s developed a flawless system. Now that my daughter is taking classes I see the level of understanding from a different point of view. I see my daughter grasping concepts and applying the techniques properly and with care. She works hard and credit is due there, but Javier’s teaching technique is to also be attributed. His system and teaching style are simple to understand making it so everyone can take a jiu jitsu class from him and go home with knowledge!
Hands down thee best place to learn REAL Self Defense!! They have kids “Bully Proof” classes, women’s self defense classes, street ready fundamental classes, and Advanced classes. They have something for everyone, each with its individual focuses in real life scenarios.
Javier is not only one of the most passionate instructors I have ever met but, he also has a way of articulating and breaking every move down in to simple to understand steps, that anyone can follow. His experience as a professional fighter shows, in his deep understanding of positions in which you can hit from, creating predictable behaviors, getting to “absolute advantage” to control your opponent, High class wrestling techniques and stand up striking. My kids train here, as well as my wife and myself.
The facility is one of the cleanest I’ve encountered, with some of the most friendly staff I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with. This creates a easygoing, relaxed environment in which one can focus on learning and progressing in the system.
Now Although the environment is easygoing and relaxed, Javier has a way of motivating and pushing you to your limits, you WILL learn Jiu-Jitsu and get in shape.
Javier Vasquez is a legend, great professor, beat Cancer and survived many obstacles yet he’s still one of the greats. I come to class and get great instruction with super cool training mates. Great environment to learn BJJ.
